Sometimes I really appreciate the fact that I’m single, especially when I look closely at some of the relationships being fostered around me.
I’m not going to say that I love being alone, but it is enjoyable at times and I’d rather live a life alone then waste time and energy in a relationship that is not healthy.
People have told me multiple times that I should lower my standards. People that care about me supposedly, but when I think about what I want and what I deserve…my standards only continue to grow and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
I simply value myself enough to not settle for just anyone.
My friend Tina and I made fresh hummus tonight and it was delicious.
